19 Baojun 510, 1.5T with CVT, 50,000km. Appears to start and start driving rattling and noisy, as the car gets higher the noise gets louder.
After a test drive to clarify the fault phenomenon, on the shelf to listen to the sound. Determine that the noise is inside the gearbox. According to past experience, this transmission internal pressure cylinder bearings are easy to damage.
Disassemble the transmission to find the point of failure, before disassembling the transmission first remove the rear cover of the transmission, in order to determine if the problem is the pressure cylinder rear cover bearing, this avoids disassembling the entire transmission.
With the rear cover bearings ruled out, it's time to disassemble, odds are the problem is in the main pressure cylinder front bearing.
The favorite bad bearing in this transmission is similar to the center housing bearing in the Enclave 6-speed one, in the same location, and both have large pockmarks on the inside of the bearing causing the rattling.
The bearings are relatively easy to remove, there is a circlip holding them in place.
So the problem is relatively simple, replace where it's broken, just replace the center housing bearing to fix it!
